Launching Spring 2020, Quibi is the first mobile-only entertainment platform. To prepare for their CES debut, the Quibi marketing team asked us to evaluate their brand identity and identify any potential issues with their existing branding system.
After an in-depth study, we identified and recommended significant adjustments to the logo and wordmark. In identifying banding issues, we moved away from a five-color gradient Q mark to a one-color Q mark. Secondly, we optically adjusted the letterforms and kerning so that the logo is scalable and optimized for mobile.
With the new adjustments in place led by a distinct and ownable Quibi Purple, we modernized the brand for its global launch.
